Lin Gerkman (b. 1995, Ljubljana) is a visual artist whose practice is primarily grounded in photography and archival research and is often expressed in the form of installations. His work explores transitional periods and the remnants of contemporary history that shaped them, often employing a wide range of found objects and archival materials combining them into new composite wholes. He is interested in understanding the individual’s relationship to their home, the impact of social transitions and the relationship between the public and the private. He has exhibited in solo and group shows in Slovenia, Austria, Australia, Croatia, Czech Republic, Germany, and Greece.
